The term 'Client' refers to a program that the user must run on his mobile device
Leonardo Live needs a program running on the mobile phone that is capable of getting the GPS coordinates and sending them to the server. There are many programs around that can do this job, some free some commercial, the Leonardo Live server can accept many of the formats these programs use.
However we have developed a Java Program especially for use with Leonardo Live that takes advantage of many extra features. We have also Published an HTTP API so that developers can add support for livetrack24 to their application!
It is therefore recommended to first try "GpsTrackLive" or one of the clients that use the HTTP API, in order to utilize 100% the Live Tracking options of the server.
Do you use a program and think it would be cool to use it with livetrack24 ? Then contact the developer of your favourite program and let them now that adding support for livetrack24 is very easy via the Leonardo Live Tracking API
Here is a partial list of them with instructions on how to install and configure them for use with the system.

GPS altitude offset otion
Thursday, 31. December 2009 16:05:20, by Sand Tracker
Would it be possible to integrate an adjustable "GPS altitude offset option" into the next software versions?
It seem that most of the time the GPS altitude is about 50m higher than the actual hight. If you view your flight in google maps/earth it seem as if you start in the air and land in the air....
This is just a request and suggestion.
Thanks!
Blackberry 9000
Friday, 21. January 2011 14:34:48, by Rikus Kleinhans
I have a Blackberry 9000 phone. Want to load your GPSLiveTrack software on my phone.
I downloaded the software but could not install it on my phone as my phone does not have
a java application that can run your software.
The Blackberry phone use an application called "Blackberry Desktop Manager" that
has a feature called "Application Loader". Application loaded looks for a file type ".alx" or ".ali" for
programs to install on the Blackberry. Your file extention is ".jad" and ".jar".
I then went to the option to install the software via a SMS that your website send to my phone.
My phone does not want to install the software this way either.
Has anyone got any suggestions?
