Why should I donate money ? How will my donation be used?

If you find the livetracking service usefull and/or fun you can donate just to say "thank you". Any amount is O.K. It keeps me enthusiastic and motivated to further develop it adding new features and making it better!

Ideally I would like to use your money to spend more working hours on this project, these hours are now being spend in 'normal' jobs that bring food to my family thus leaving the dev on livetrack24 to be done when i have some small bits of free time.

Here are some features that are on my wish list:

• Make the Java client even better, more reliable and with more features, some of them :
  • Delayed start of live track sending , on demand, after a timeout, or on first move
  • Waypoint management
  • Competition routes management
  • Radar screen with all nearby live tracks , the user could set anther live user as a 'live' waypoint and enter a follow-me mode, displaying course and distance to this user. Very usefull also for retrieve
  • Management of program settings via the web interface, the user can download his settings on his new phone from his user account
  • More feaures on emergency SMS managed on the phone instead on the web interface.
  • Eas to set up groups for live tracking from the phone itself. A user can select to participate to a group made up on the fly. Groups may be restricted from public viewing.
  • Private live tracks.
• More features on the web interface:
• Write better documentation for end users and also the intergration API
• Extend the livetrack API for 3rd party applications with more features.
• Put some fancy interactive charts of Altitude/speed/etc over time, some ideas i am examining:

How do I donate money ?

At the bottom of this page, you are provided the opportunity to proceed in donating money livetrack24.com. This process has the following steps:

1. At the bottom of this page, click on the button above the amount you want to donate. Use one of the PayPal buttons at the bottom of the page select the size of the donation you want to make. Buttons are provided for common denominations of 5€, 10€, 20€, 50€, 100€ or if none of these amounts suits you select the last botton to enter your desired amount.



2. Enter your credit card information (or login to your PayPal account) on the PayPal page, then complete your donation. You will be redirected to PayPal where you may complete your donation. You may either login to a PayPal account and make the donation, or enter your credit card information.
   
   On the Paypal checkout page you will be offered the opportunity to verify that you have picked the desired amount, and to enter a comment that will be attached to this donation. See the screeshot below on where to enter your comment
   
   
   By entering a comment (even just your name) you will be automatically included in the supporters list on the right side of this page. if you dont want your name to appear on this list, leave the comments field empty!
